On Saturday, 27 July 2024 at 12:30 after the weekly market, composer Gerald Eckert will give an introduction to the Summer Concert 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

The composer will use examples to explain the ideas and approach of the musicians. The concert series Neue Musik Eckernf\u00f6rde<\/a> has been dedicated to the new and the unknown in music for over 20 years. The title of the summer concert “\u00dcber das R\u00e4tselhafte (On the Enigmatic)”<\/a> also refers to this. This title follows on from a concert performed by Ensemble Reflexion K in St Nicolai Church in February this year.<\/p>\n

In his music, Eckert attempts to make the enigmatic audible: \u2018the delicate lines of a single flower as well as dawn transformed into a rush of sound. Overlapping waves, in water as in sound, their pulsation and their entanglement. And again and again man, striving for knowledge and enlightenment and yet so destructive in his actions\u2019.<\/p>\n

Gerald Eckert focuses on the organ piece \u2018Aube\u2019 (Dawn)<\/a>, which will be performed on 30 July at 8 pm in St Nicolai Church Eckernf\u00f6rde together with works by Makiko Nishikaze, Anna Korsun, Gerald Eckert and Pablo Araya.
