These words were written by the artist as she condensed her photographic approaches into this current exhibition titled Break. \u00bb Break. Step 1 \u00ab and \u00bb Break. Step 2 \u00ab are her personal reflection to what began on 24 February, 2022.<\/p>\n
Break comes to English from the Old Frisian breka, or the Proto-Germanic brekanan. In Old English brecan is \u201cto divide solid matter violently into parts or fragments; to injure, violate (a promise, etc.), destroy, curtail; to break into, rush into; to burst forth, spring out; to subdue, tame.<\/p>\n
\u00bb Break. Step 1 \u00ab and \u00bb Break. Step 2 \u00ab invites audiences to dive into a Journey together with Apollinariia Ilina. This is not only about Breaking or stopping with the past. This collection of works reflect a process of different steps of adaptation of the changing environment.<\/p>\n
