And not just as a holiday but to really spend my everyday life in a new environment. During my residencies so far, there have always been surprising discoveries that have strongly influenced my artistic work. I came into contact with themes that I would have known only vaguely or not at all without these opportunities. The residency scholarships broaden my horizons. That&#8217;s why I apply for them when there is an interesting opportunity.<br \/>\nWith Ensemble Reflektion K, Eckernf\u00f6rde has an excellent new music ensemble, which of course makes the scholarship very attractive for composers. Only a few scholarships offer this working environment and this close exchange.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What did you work on during your stay?<\/strong><br \/>\nI worked on a large piece for ensemble and 2 voices, which will be premiered in october as part of the Donaueschingen Music Days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What inspired you at the K\u00fcnstlerhaus in Eckernf\u00f6rde?<\/strong><br \/>\nLiving directly at the harbour and on the beach and at the same time in the beautiful city centre was a special experience for me. A highlight of my everyday life was going for a walk or a run along the Noor. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you take away from Eckernf\u00f6rde for your further artistic development?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is perhaps too early to answer this question. But the navy on the other side of the bay kept my mind very busy. Somehow I could hardly block it out and enjoy the sea view. The permanent presence of the military does not let me forget the current wars and conflicts. I was also amazed at the same time how there was hardly any criticism of the military tents advertising a career in the military on the beach. I was shocked to see how this offer of beach volleyball appeals to minors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What would you like to add?<\/strong><br \/>\nI would like to thank the board of the artists&#8217; house! I really appreciated and enjoyed your hospitality! I would also like to thank Ensemble Reflexion K very much for the beautiful rehearsals and the performance of my music.
