Reference Labyrinth

Current scholarship holder Franca Behrmann will present her artistic work and current projects as part of otte 1’s ‘After the Market’ programme on Saturday, 13 December 2025 at 12:30 p.m.

Franca Behrmann uses artistic means to combine narrative elements into ambiguous, sometimes contradictory stories. The aim of her work is to playfully explore relationship structures through deconstruction and recontextualisation. Paintings, photographs and texts give rise to flexible bodies of knowledge that allow for mediation between individual emotionality and collective experience.

Under the title ‘Reference Labyrinth,’ the artist presents her current exploration of source material and, in the spirit of science historian and feminist Donna J. Haraway, asks us to remain restless.
