Provinzlärm-Festival Review Part 3

Gerald Eckert will give a review of the 2019 – 2023 festivals on 15 February at 12:30 pm with a focus on Sweden, Estonia and Ukraine.

The festival focus on Sweden in 2019 centred on Ensemble Lipparella. Since its foundation, this group has focussed on contemporary works for baroque instruments and voice. The festival, originally planned for February 2021, took place in two parts on 13 November 2021 and from 18 February to 20 February 2022. The country focus was Estonia. The Ensemle U from Estonia performed works by Tatjana Kozlova-Johannes, while the Norddeutsche Sinfonietta played pieces by Arvo Pärt and others. Six concerts with a country focus on Ukraine were performed at the 9th International Provincial Noise Festival of New Music in Eckernförde from 24 to 26 February 2023.

The 10th Provincial Noise Festival will take place from 21 to 23 February 2025. The focus will be on Denmark.
