No Future?

After the market, on Saturday, 5 April at 12:30, we will take a look at what has become of a pair of artists who were our guests in 2025.

At the end of their residency 10 years ago, Silvia Amancei and Bogdan Armanu from Romania showed an installation entitled ‘(NO) HOPE FOR A FUTURE’ on the windows of the Künstlerhaus.

The work is based on a manifesto written by the two scholarship holders: ‘To place no hope in the future is a call to recognise reality, to tear the mask off the promise of future gain, of future fulfilment. There is no future, so there is nothing to lose.’
